InfantSEE Examination

The American Optometric Association recommends that all infants receive the first eye examination between 6 and 12 months of age. Dr. Cara is a state and national leader in the InfantSEE program. She has examined hundreds of infants since the program started in 2005. Checking the eyes during infancy allows serious eye and vision problems to be detected before a child suffers developmental or visual problems. The InfantSEE examination takes less than 1 hour and is typically scheduled in the morning when the baby is awake and ready to play.

Pediatric Eye Examinations

1 in 4 school age children suffer from vision problems. Vision screenings detect nearsighted children who have trouble seeing the classroom board clearly. However, children today spend the majority of their day looking at tablets, phones, and books up close. An eye examination is the only way to detect children who have blurred or double vision during near tasks, eye discomfort, eye diseases and much more. The Pediatric eye examination takes about 1 hour and can be scheduled at the most convenient time for your family.
